April 30th i had the pleasure of participating in the March Of Dimes – SC drive through parade.
March of Dimes is a United States nonprofit organization that works to improve the health of mothers and babies. “We believe that every baby deserves the best possible start. Unfortunately, not all babies get one. We are changing that.”
During the drive through we were given a scavenger hunt that taught us a bit more about March of Dimes and why is so important for their initiative to be alive.
A premature baby may look tiny and fragile to touch but don’t underestimate the courage, strength, and determination of a baby born too soon.
I stand with all moms and parents who are taking action to help provide better care, awareness and resiliency to child birth 🤰🏾💖
I had a BLAST volunteering for @palmettoplace ’s annual Sweet & Savory chef competition! 🍽🌟 This event is designed to be a virtual silent auction along with having the most talented chefs across the Midlands cook up bomb dishes. Guest were able to vote on their favorite sweet and savory dishes from each chef. 🗳🍡🍗
All funds raised from Sweet & Savory directly support @palmettoplace programs for residents. I was able to network with so many people and gather over 1000 dollars in sponsorships for resident needs at their housing 😱💲✨💫
It was an incredible day in honor of April being #NationalVolunteerMonth – I encourage you to get out in your community and make a difference❤️
I’ve had the honor of being a dedicated volunteer with Transitions Homeless Center for almost 2 years! April 8th I had the privilege of being invited to @transitionssc ‘s silent auction hosted by Catherine Beltran – Volunteer Coordinator✨😇 I’m so happy that being in the @northamericabeautypageant system I’ve been able to network with inspiring people such as Catherine. We collaborate as we work towards being more impactful in our homeless community. 🤲🏾🏡⚒️ To volunteer, to be a spokeswoman & to start leading productive classes at @transitionssc is so fulfilling 🦋💫
Monday morning July 6th was my 25th birthday. Becoming Miss North America a week before was literally the goal i wanted to accomplish and did it!
I decided to dedicate my morning to serving and helping others during their time of need. I was fortunate to wake up this morning with a roof over my head and with food. So I paid it forward with @harvesthopefb 💚
One in six South Carolinians struggles with food insecurity and hunger.
People can’t function when they are hungry, and many of our neighbors are unable to afford basic needs like groceries.
Harvest Hope distributes 33 million pounds of food each year throughout the state.
They rescue, pack, transport, and deliver nutritious food to soup kitchens, shelters, food pantries, and schools in twenty counties in South Carolina.
Volunteers MAKE IT POSSIBLE.
Their donors and volunteers are the key to preventing hunger in our communities. They could not do it without you! Want to get involved https://www.harvesthope.org
